The sequel to Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spiderman” is trying to finalize their cast before beginning production on a tentative February start date. Andrew Garfield is reprising his role as the web-throwing superhero as well as Emma Stone returning to play Gwen Stacey. Shailene Woodley, most commonly known for her strong performance in Alexander Payne’s “The Descendants”, where she played George Clooney’s daughter, looks like she will snag the role of Mary Jane Watson. That leaves the main focus on a very important role to fill, that of Harry Obsorn.

The character in the film is said to be dark and edgy, edging towards the path comic book fans know he eventually goes down. Actors currently in the mix for the role include “Chronicle’s” Dane DeHaan, “Melancholia’s” Brady Corbet and “Tetro’s” Alden Ehrenreich.

Given the tight production timeline, one can anticipate this role will be filled fairly quickly. We’ll keep you posted as the story develops.

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
