EVIL DEAD Remake Poster Makes Major Claim

As many of you know, the remake to the classic horror film EVIL DEAD is hitting AMC Theatres on April 12th 2013. Unlike most remakes this one is being driven by the actual creators of the original with Sam Raimi and original star Bruce Campbell producing with Raimi himself writing the screenplay along with Oscar winning writer Diablo Cody (who won her Oscar for writing JUNO).

A new poster for the film has just been released… and to say it makes a bold claim on it is a bit of an understatement. On the poster (which you can see below) the movie claims to be "The most terrifying film you will ever experience". That's quite a claim.

Although I must admit… this red bad trailer for the movie does seem to back up that claim. What do you think? Will the new EVIL DEAD be as terrifying as they claim? Are you looking forward to the film? Let us know your thoughts on the poster in the comments section below.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
