It is being reported that Jamie Foxx ("Ray", the upcoming "Django Unchained") may be in the running for a role in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2".

Variety is reporting that Foxx is in talks to play the villain in director Marc Webb's sequel to this summer's comic book movie hit "The Amazing Spider-Man". And though it can not be confirmed, rumor has it that the character will be Max Dillon, better known as Electro - a super villain who, as indicated by the name, has the power to control electricity.

Foxx, perhaps as a tease to the fans or perhaps as a sly confirmation of the rumor made the following tweet:

"Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."

Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley are set to star in the highly anticipated sequel. Webb directs from a script by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" opens in AMC Theatres on May 2, 2014.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
