GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Lead Role Down to Two Actors

The long list of actors being considered to star as Peter Quill (a.k.a. Star-Lord) in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" is now apparently down to just two names. The actors include Jim Sturgess, most commonly known for his role in "Cloud Atlas" and "One Day" opposite Anne Hathaway, and Zachary Levi, known for his hit TV show "Chuck".

This news was a bit surprising due to the fact that Levi is already set to appear as Fandral in the upcoming "Thor: The Dark World". Having the same actor appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a separate character is quite a risk to diehard fans, so it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

The other lead characters in the film yet to be filled include Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Racoon and Gamora. We'll keep you posted as new details emerge.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
