The upcoming "The Wolverine" marks the sixth time that actor Hugh Jackman has played the steel-clawed character, with a seventh on the way in Bryan Singer's upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past". A new international motion poster and identical theatrical poster have been released for the James Mangold directed and co-written film, showing Wolverine kneeling in the rain holding a katana sword. This spectacle makes sense since we know this next journey brings him to Japan.
Synopsis: Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.
"The Wolverine" claws its way to AMC Theatres on July 23rd 2013 and also stars Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tee, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto and Svetlana Khodchenkova.
