The teaser for J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness" trailer was released last week and most of us saw the full official version premiering with Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" An Unexpected Journey" this weekend. The trailer establishes the darker and more somber tone of the film and definitely teases the important factors Trekkies were hoping to see in the first trailer.

Narrated by Bruce Greenwood, returning as Admiral Christopher Pike, we catch glimpses of Captain Kirk and his Enterprise crew, a funeral, Benedict Cumberbatch's villain and his wake of destruction as well as a new character teaser in the form of Alice Eve portraying Carol Marcus.

There is still speculation that Cumberbatch could be playing Khan in the film, especially as inferred by lines such as "Is there anything you would not do for your family?" heard in the trailer. We hope to know for sure who he will be playing soon, as Abrams has been keeping our curiosity piqued like he does best, while keeping a tight lid on further details.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" hits AMC Theatres May 17th 2013.

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
