TRON: LEGACY Sequel in the Works

While reviews on the film were mixed, the look and feel of Joseph Kosinski's "Tron: Legacy" is acknowledged as being an incredibly rich and visually stunning feat. While the film had a less than spectacular opening, Disney announced a ways back that a sequel to the project would be happening, through a series of clips and details on the next rendition. Despite early news of said sequel and attaching David DiGillio to pen the original script, Disney has been taking their sweet time in enabling the project to come to fruition.

As deemed by ex-Warner Bros. head and new Disney chairman Alan Horn, "Tron 3" has now been given priority and Jess Wigutow has been hired to re-write the script. There has been no news yet if the three stars from the last film including Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and Jeff Bridges, will return. Many have speculated that Cillian Murphy may take on the larger villain role this time around.

At this point, we know that director Joseph Kosinski, who is currently finishing post-production on his Sci-Fi thriller "Oblivion", has been involved in developing the story for the sequel. It has yet to be confirmed however if he will return to direct.

We'll be sure to keep you posted as the story develops.

I know I'm in the minority but I want Iron Giant to win over Lion King. I LOVE Iron Giant. Lion King is my favourite Disney animated movie but I balled like a baby watching Iron Giant. Also to the people complaining that no anime is moving on and it's all Toy Story... Miyazaki should've had a few films that moved on and Howl's Moving Castle is 1000x better than Frozen but there is a reason Pixar and Disney films are all popular, they're great and it's tough to get upset about upsets because these are all amazing films. And the Toy Story's are gonna do well because they should. There ratings on Rotten Tomatoes are 100, 100 and 99. My picks are... Iron Giant Toy Story Up Aladdin Toy Story 3 Monsters Inc. Beauty and the Beast Toy Story 2
