We've heard rumors that Robert Rodriquez and Frank Miller's pseudo-sequel-prequel "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For", which is slated for an October 8th release in AMC Theatres, was happening for years. It has been very quiet on this front for a long time, but in recent months, there have been steady updates to the production. It looks like we may be taking another trip to the scandalous and corrupt Basin City, after all.
As of this morning, Ray Liotta, June Temple and Jeremy Piven, have been added to the cast. Who these three will be playing, is currently unknown. Original cast members Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Jamie King are reprising their roles, while new cast members Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung, Christopher Meloni and Josh Brolin have been added to the mix.
Rodriguez's style is a unique and bold way of filmmaking. He plays with colors, shadows and tones, to please the eyes of his hungry spectators. I was a big fan of the first "Sin City" and I look forward to seeing how Rodriguez will utilize this amazing cast in the next installment.
