As if dinosaurs in 3D wasn't exciting enough, it's been confirmed that a "Jurassic IV" is officially underway. A June 13, 2014 release date has been set, which gives the picture a tight timeline of a mere 18-months. The film is being produced by Steven Spielberg and despite speculation, he is not currently attached to helm at this time. We sincerely hope that changes, especially now that "Robopocalypse" is officially off the table. After all, who does dinos better than Spielberg?

Last Summer, producer Frank Marshall commented on "Jurassic Park IV", stating, "I would say that it will be on the screen within two years." Well played, Marshall. You were right on the money.

Producer Kathleen Kennedy previously spoke about the project in 2011 as well, when she stated it would take a "great script" for a 4th installment to happen. The project was not originally intended to be a franchise. Apparently Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes") have produced such a script, as they have turned in a new draft earlier this week, leading to the official release date being locked.

If Spielberg doesn't take it on, what worthy soul will tackle the project? Let us know who you think should direct in the comments section below!

"Jurassic Park IV" hits AMC Theatres on June 13th 2014 and "Jurassic Park 3D" hits on April 5th for one week in IMAX.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
