Dolph Lundgren to Cameo in John M. Chu's MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE?

By AMC March 19, 2013

Director of the upcoming "G.I. Joe Retaliation" Jon M. Chu, recently discussed his upcoming "Masters of the Universe" remake and the potential of having Dolph Lundgren make an appearance in the film.

Chu stated, "I'm working on Masters of the Universe right now, and that's something that I, also, since I was a kid, have really, really loved. It's a totally different universe than Joe, but really fun. It has a whole world to play with, and I really love that. I love the idea of a challenge, because, tonally, that one is really tough to do."

On the potential of having Lundgren make a cameo in the film, Chu stated, "I don't know if Dolph Lundgren is around or what he's doing but, we'll see. Yeah, I think that could be some fun."

Lundgren first appeared as He-Man in the 1987 version of "Masters of the Universe". The reboot is said to follow Prince Adam into his transformation into He-Man, who defends himself and his land of Eternia, against the evil Greyskull.

The screenplay was written by Alex Litvak, Michael Finch, and Richard Wenk. No cast members have been locked and no information on production or street date has been released yet.
