Nicola Peltz Locked as Female Lead in TRANSFORMERS 4

By AMC March 27, 2013

We reported a couple of months ago that Nicola Peltz was being eyed to star as the female lead in Michael Bay's "Transformers 4". The deal has been finalized and Peltz is officially locked in.

Michael Bay's Twitter account had the simple words "Transformers 4 actress Nicola Peltz", confirming the news. She will be playing opposite Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor.

Nicola Peltz is a beautiful and lesser known actress, best known for her role as Katara in "The Last Airbender". She of course will be taking the place of the other sultry female leads before her in the franchise, including Megan Fox, who was in "Transformers 1 and 2", and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley from the third installment.

While Fox is no longer part of the "Transformers" franchise, it appears that her and Bay made up, as she will be playing April O'Neill in the Bay-produced "Ninja Turtles".

"Transformers 4" will hit AMC Theatres in 2014.
