If you loved the pairing of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum on "21 Jump Street", you're in for a treat. The two are teaming up again for the sequel, which is slated to hit theaters in 2014.
The actors will be reprising their roles as Jenko and Schmidt, two rookie cops who went undercover at high school in the first film.
The first movie went on to gross $200 million worldwide at the box office las year, so news of a sequel is not that surprising. I personally loved the first film and thought it was hilarious, so I'm pleased with this news. I thought the chemistry between Tatum and Hill were great and that Tatum's great comedic timing was such a pleasant surprise.
At this time, it's not been confirmed if Dave Franco, who was great as Eric Molson in the first, will be returning, but it does seem likely. It has also not been confirmed yet if directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who helmed the first, will return at this time.
Hill and Michael Bacall are co-writing the screenplay and production is said to begin later this year.
