Today we get our first glimpse of Jamie Foxx is his Electro getup, on the set of Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". The costume has a much more dark and modernized feel to it, compared to the yellow and green suit as seen in the comics.

Electro is one of Spider-Man's greatest enemies. Hopefully Webb will show how Maxwell Dillon became Electro, as it's a very interesting backstory. Dillon was struck by lightning while working at an electric company, which caused a mutagenic change to occur within him, resulting in him being able to control mass amounts of energy.

On playing the character, Foxx said the following:

"I'm going to keep it close to the chest but I followed the Spider-Man comic books. And I would watch the television show growing up. It's a blessing. It's incredible. Especially for my little daughter, who is there for the make-up tests and everything. It's another testament to Quentin Tarantino because without Django, I wouldn't be doing Spider-Man.'"

Do you like the look of this modernized Electro? Let us know in the comments section below!

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hits AMC Theatres on May 2nd 2014.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.

Magic and "The Social Network" shouldn't be in the same sentence. It was an awful movie for what has become "The Hateful Network". It's the beginning of the end for FB.
