Lee Pace in Final Negotiations to Play Villain in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

By AMC April 24, 2013

The casting news continues for James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy", and we may now have our villain, ladies and gentlemen. It's been reported that Lee Pace ("Twilight" and "The Hobbit") may snag the role of the films' antagonist.

It has not been reported yet what villain will be dominating the film, but at this point, we don't believe it will be Thanos. Yesterday it was announced that Ophelia Lovibond (great name right?) was cast as an aide to The Collector, so the Guardians may definitely have their hands full with whatever character turns out to be the villain.

If locked in, Pace will be joining a cast that already includes Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) and Michael Rooker (Yondu).

"Guardians of the Galaxy" will begin production in the UK this June and will hit AMC Theatres on August 1st, 2014.
