The wonderful Ryan Reynolds is teaming up with director Tarsem Singh for a new sci-fi project titled "Selfless". The story revolves around a wealthy, older man who is dying, and therefore pays to have his mind transplanted into a younger man's body. But this experiment comes with a price and soon he's hunted by killers and must solve the mystery of why they are chasing him and the story behind the cadaver he occupied, before it's too late.
Singh is known for his directorial credits on "Immortals", starring the next "Man of Steel" himself Henry Cavill, as well as the fairytale "Mirror Mirror", starring Julia Roberts and Armie Hammer. His very interesting and complex plot matched with the visual masterpiece of "The Cell", definitely kept my attention as well.
The script for "Selfless" was written by Alex and David Pastor ("Carriers"). I'm interested in seeing how this one unfolds because not only do I find Singh an interesting filmmaker and sci-fi is one of my favorite genres, but I love Reynolds as an actor. I think seeing him in a role like this, will only help cement him further as an actor with real range and depth.
