The impressive casting news continues to surface for Paul Thomas Anderson's "Inherent Vice". Josh Brolin is the latest edition to a cast that already includes Joaquin Phoenix, Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon. Not to mention the inclusion of Martin Short, which should indeed prove be an interesting development in an Anderson film.

The film is adapted from Thomas Pynchon's 2009 spy novel. While I don't know much about the subject matter, I do however know a great deal about Anderson's work. It's probably safe to say there's going to be some sort of troubled father/son relationship going on, whether it be a highlight of just secondary characters. That's definitely a consistent seen is most of Anderson's films.

While we don't know what character Brolin will be portraying yet, he is a diverse and generous actor, and will no doubt make a great addition to the film.

The synopsis of the book reads as follows:

It's been a while since Doc Sportello has seen his ex- girlfriend. Suddenly she shows up with a story about a plot to kidnap a billionaire land developer whom she just happens to be in love with. It's the tail end of the psychedelic sixties in L.A., and Doc knows that "love" is another of those words going around at the moment, like "trip" or "groovy," except that this one usually leads to trouble.

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
