Fangirls and fanboys certainly have their calendar busy for the next couple of years. With the huge release of "Iron Man 3", kicking off Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are eager to know additional details for their highly anticipated upcoming projects.
Geek favorite Joss Whedon, drops some new fun tidbits about his upcoming "Avengers 2". Despite the ending of "Iron Man 3", which led us to believe Tony Stark was done portraying the famed hero when he blew up his remaining suits, Whedon reassures us that we will indeed see the character again.
Whedon said, "Well, I feel like in Iron Man 3, even though he said, ‘I’ve changed' -- he blew up his remote suits, but I don’t think anybody thinks he doesn’t have one anymore. The question is, if The Avengers are called, does he show up? And the answer is, ‘Yes!’"
He also seemingly confirmed the mysterious sibling duo he referenced would be added to the next film. They do appear to be Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, but he is now eluding to them potentially not being on The Avengers, but being part of the opposing force.
"You know, they had a rough beginning. They’re interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn’t necessarily agree with The Avengers. So they’re not there to make things easier. I’m not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier."
