We've been hearing about various potential leads to star in "The Crow" reboot. First, it was Mark Wahlberg and Bradley Cooper being eyed for the role. Then it progressed to James McAvoy, then Marvel god Tom Hiddleston, and most recently HBO's "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard.
It has now been reported that the role of Eric Draven has officially been given to Luke Evans ("Immortals"). Evans will next be seen as the villain in "Fast and Furious 6" as well as the title character in "Dracula", so perhaps that will give us a bit more context and understanding of the depth and darkness that he could bring to "The Crow".
Brandon Lee of course portrayed the legendary character in the original versions, and tragically died on set. Many don't feel a remake is needed or that anyone could do the role justice the way Lee did, so Evans definitely has his work cut out for him. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how he handles the pressure and if he rises to the challenge.
