New WOLVERINE End-Credits Rumor Reintroduces Us to a Familiar Face?

By AMC May 9, 2013

With the huge release of "Iron Man 3" this past weekend, comic book fans are eagerly anticipating the next reveal of their beloved Marvel and DC characters. Everything we've seen thus far for James Mangold's "The Wolverine", promises to be a much better standalone film and portrayal of the famed character than "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was.

True to Marvel films and many other films taking notes from them these days, a spoiler is often revealed in the end credits, which usually links to the next film within the universe. True to form, we recently learned that a fun spoiler is going to be introduced in the end of "The Wolverine".

Alright, now that you've been sufficiently warned that a spoiler is about to occur, and you're apparently still in, we'll catch you up to speed. It's been reported that reshoots have been done for Mangold's film in the Montreal airport, and that the clip will reintroduce us to another famed X-Men character.

The word on the street is that the scene is between Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and a walking Professor X. Speculation leads us to believe its Patrick Stewart and not James McAvoy, which would make more sense logistically to seamlessly introduce Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past".

"The Wolverine" hits AMC Theatres on July 26th.
