Robert Downey Jr. Joins Jon Favreau's CHEF

By AMC May 14, 2013

With the huge success of "Iron Man 3" and the "Iron Man" franchise in general, two familiar faces are going to be reuniting again for a new project. Robert Downey Jr. is the latest addition to Jon Favreau's indie comedy "Chef".

In addition to Downey Jr., the film also stars Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo and Bobby Cannavale. We aren't sure what role Downey Jr. will play at the time, but we know the two work great together, so I'm certainly pleased at the addition. It will be nice to see him play a different role than the famed billionaire playboy, as much as we all adore him in that role.

Favreau is not only directing but is also writing and starring in the film. The film centers around a man who gets fired from his job at fancy restaurant, and opens a food truck in an effort to reignite the passion in his career and his family.

Production is said to kick-off for the film in Los Angeles on July 8th. We'll keep you posted as the story develops.
