Todd Haynes ("Im Not There") has signed on to helm "Carol", starring the always incredible Cate Blanchett and Mia Wasikowska. His longtime producing partner Christine Vachon, is also signed on to the picture and Phyllis Nagy wrote the screenplay.

Based on Patricia Highsmith's 1952 novella "The Price of Salt", the film takes place in 1950s New York and centers around the relationship of two women. Wasikowska will play a department store clerk who dreams of a better life and Blanchett will play woman trapped in a meaningless marriage.

Blanchett is one of the best actresses out there today, as she constantly proves she can impressively tackle any subject matter with depth. It's been a pleasure watching Wasikowska also flex her acting chops, as she was sensational in the Park Chan-Wook masterpiece "Stoker", which was definitely a very edgy and complex role.

Haynes is replacing the previously announced John Crowley. No word on production yet but we'll keep you posted as the story develops.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
