FAST AND FURIOUS 6 Crosses $500 Million at the Worldwide Box Office

Our own John Campea revealed yesterday on our AMC Movie Talk show that "Fast and Furious 6" is his favorite film of 2013 thus far. He's apparently not the only one, as the film has now grossed $500 million at the worldwide box office, and has remained the #1 movie the last two weeks in a row.

This set the record for Universal Pictures, as the fastest film in the studio's history for any of their films to reach that mark. The film passed the milestone this past Wednesday, racking up $180 million in North America and $342 million overseas.

This installment marks director Justin Lin's last adventure with the franchise. His style has definitely become a staple for the series, so it will be interesting to see how James Wan handles the franchise moving forward, as he's locked in to helm the seventh installment.

Have you seen "Fast and Furious 6" yet and if so, what did you think? Let us know in the comments section below!

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
