We are all eagerly anticipating the big release of Bryan Singer's redemption, in the form of "X-Men: Days of Future Past". Tweeting out the occasional set photo and reuniting us with characters we love so much, Singer has done a great job at keeping interest high.
"X-Men" alumni Patrick Stewart is returning as the Older Professor X. Fans and Stewart alike, didn't think this would be a possibility, but we are certainly glad it is. At Comicpalooza in Texas, Stewart discussed his impression and excitement for the upcoming picture, as well as filling in some holes on the potential continuity question.
"I think it is going to certainly be the X-Men of all X-Men pictures, and one doesn't want to tempt fate, but perhaps also the blockbuster of 2014. It was a wonderful experience to reunited with those people."
It's been 6 or 7 years since X-Men 3, where you will recall that Charles Xavier was vaporized by what's-her-name, Jean Grey. And you're asking yourselves, 'If you were vaporized, how can you be in the next X-Men movie?' Anybody got any ideas how that came about?"
The film of course deals with time travel, so that much we know. We are still a bit perplexed as to how they are going to tie the previous "X-Men" universe in with the "X-Men: First Class" alumni, and apparently we aren't the only ones intrigued with this notion.
Stewart continued, "There will be an explanation, but it was a little puzzling for me because I thought my X-Men days were over. So, it's something to look forward to."
