The plan to get our beloved pre-historic dinos back on the big-screen, is once again full-speed ahead. All together now, hooray! After several delays in production and direction on "Jurassic Park IV", it seems like director Colin Trevorrow and team now have a clearer vision of where to go.
In a recent interview, Trevvorow stated, "It's incredible to have Steven, who's done this for decades and has such an incredible filmic knowledge and just understands the language of the story in a way that for us is very refreshing. It's not like getting notes from a studio executive, it's really just trying to crack this and make it the best it can be."
The second and third "Jurassic Park" films in no way captured the magic from the first film. Trevorrow and team envision honoring the nostalgia and intrigue that was first introduced by Steven Spielberg in 1993.
"We don't want to create a new scoop here, but we definitely want to honor what came before us," said Trevorrow. "We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time and really the conversation is: It’s not about us, it’s not about our careers, it’s – how do we make something that can stand with the first one."
A source close to the production claimed that the synopsis will revolve around the return to Isla Nublar, where it all started. That would certainly capture a key element that was introduced in the original. The park has re-opened and everything is going well until one dinosaur wreaks havoc. While nothing on this front has been officially confirmed, I would imagine we'll see a real synopsis sooner than later.
