It's been a rough ride for the return of our beloved Harry and Lloyd, made popular by the Farrelly Brothers' "Dumb and Dumber". Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels shined on-screen with amazing chemistry, and we've heard rumors that a sequel was on the way for some time. When Warner Bros. killed the project, once again our hearts were stepped on, only to be saved my our knight and shining armor in the form of Universal Pictures, who picked up the rights.
Universal and the dynamic duo are still very much on board and now according to Daniels, we even have a production date in sight. The long-awaited sequel will begin filming this September.
But what trouble will our favorite dummies get into this time? Daniels gave us a little insight into what we can expect and it sounds amazing. "I've seen the script. It's hysterical. We're middle-aged, and we're still that stupid," said Daniels.
The film is aiming for a 2014 release to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the original. It's really been 20 years? Hot damn.
