The one and only San Diego Comic Con has finally arrived. Thousands of industry folks, fanboys and fangirls, will be flooding the floor in an attempt to see their favorite titles and also some big reveals from studios. We know that Marvel is most likely going to be disclosing what their two unspecified titles will be. We also just learned that Fox will also be revealing a title that has been kept under wraps until now.
In Hall H, where most of the big panels for both TV and film are held, Fox let spectators know that they would be showcasing "The Wolverine", "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", and a "surprise" from 4:15-5:15pm on Saturday July 20th. Now it looks like that surprise could be in the form of a new "Predator" movie.
Fox released a promotional poster with the following message, which is from the 1987 film:
"There’s something out there waiting for us, and it ain’t no man…We’re all gonna die."
The image is a thermal view, top-down photo of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.
There have been several "Predator" films to date. The first was the classic 1987 film and the most recent was Robert Rodriguez's "Predators" in 2010 starring Adrien Brody. Despite the remake being critically slammed and not making a ton of money at the box office, it appears that the property is too valuable to have it stop there.
