James McAvoy Joins FRANKENSTEIN Opposite Daniel Radcliffe

By AMC July 27, 2013

Breaking away from his "Harry Potter" cloak, we got word that Daniel Radcliffe had signed on back in March to star as Igor in Fox's "Frankenstein" project. Opposed to the Aaron Eckart-starring project of a similar name, "I, Frankenstein", this film is based on the classic horror tale made famous by Mary Shelley. It is now being reported that James McAvoy, who most recently starred in Danny Boyle's "Trance" has also joined the film.

With Radcliffe playing the famous hunchback Igor, McAvoy will play Victor Von Frankenstein. Other actors who were considered for the role were Jack Huston from "Boardwalk Empire" fame and Toby Kebbell from "RocknRolla".

Scribe Max Landis made a splash with Josh Trank's "Chronicle" and this is the next high-profile gig he is penning. Paul McGuinan is helming the picture, who is known for the wonderful and clever "Lucky Number Slevin" which sadly went under the radar, and "Push", which starred Chris Evans.
