Mark Wahlberg spent years getting his passion project "The Fighter" off the ground. The same film earned Christian Bale an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and put Wahlberg even more on the map as a serious actor. The writers behind the film, Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy, now have a new project under their belt. But their not straying too far from the roots of the other film.

Johnson and Tamasy acquired the rights to "Boston Strong", Casey Sherman and Boston Herald reporter Dave Wedge's upcoming book. The book will release next year and deals with the events of the Boston bombing on Patriots' Day and the hunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Sherman has previously worked with Johnson and Tamasy, as well as producer Dorothy Aufiero, on "The Finest Hours", which was based on Michael J. Touglas' book and is set to release in 2015.

No further details on this project are available but we'll keep you posted as the story develops.

This reply if for CMO175: Wow... I had to comment on your posting. The fact that you believe Batman vs. Superman would beat Captain America 3 strikes me as uninformed. Zack Snyder is a visual master... but his stories and pacing and color palate are truly lacking in the development process. Superman simply had no soul... the man and the movie. And the silly destruction of the city and the landscape IS out of character with what Superman is. How many people died as Superman himself crashed through buildings and caused explosions throughout the movie? Superman would NEVER allow that to happen, but Zack Snyder and his writer would... and did. And it was a boring, stupid mess. And he WILL bring that soulless idiocy to Batman vs. Superman. Captain America, on the other hand? Winter Soldier is the most exciting super hero movie since The Dark Knight. And I, a 55 year old long time comic book universe fan, WILL be in line for Captain America 3! I will have to be convinced -- a LOT -- to turn around and spend my money, and time, in a Zack Snyder Batman vs. Superman. Zack Snyder stole a bit of my soul -- and I hate him for it -- when he introduced zombies that can run down a car. If zombies existed, in a Zack Snyder universe, and they move FASTER than any human... then he has introduced a horror universe in which man has NO hope of survival! Mankind cannot survive in this universe where vicious zombies have the speed to overwhelm any human survival situation... and that vision kills the suspense in a zombie movie. Where is the hope? That does not exist in a Zack Snyder movie. That man is Sucker Punching all of us. I'm not taking it any more. There are too many other fan friendly directors of fantasy movies for me to follow. I only hope that Disney/Marvel will hire the same brother director team to direct Captain America 3. That will be a smart move, indeed. RLJ
