We got the chance to speak to the charming and charismatic Tom Hiddleston at Comic Con last week. He of course plays Loki, the evil half-brother of Thor. Hiddleston completely shines as the character on the big-screen as seen in "Thor" and "The Avengers", as well as the upcoming sequel "Thor: The Dark World". Loki fans will be sad to know however, that he will not be making an appearance in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron".
We of course were alerted to this fact back in June from Whedon. This definitely makes us wonder what Loki's fate will be in the "Thor" sequel. On his absence from the next "Avengers" film, Hiddleston said the following:
"I think it's great for the film that I'm not going to be in it. Because I'm so proud of the first one. Joss and I, there were so many things that we both love about it and in a way if I was in it we'd be chasing those moments, we'd be chasing that again. The Avengers need a new bad guy to fight, they need new things to do...but for the film I'll be waving them off and saying 'Good luck, have fun' and I'll be in the front row when it comes out."
Are you bummed Loki won't be in the "Avengers" sequel? Let us know in the comments section below!
