Vanessa Hudgens has surely come a long way from her days as a Disney princess in such films as "High School Musical". She most recently appeared in Harmony Korine's edgy "Spring Breakers". Now it's being reported that she may join actor/comedian Denis Leary in a new genre movie "The Kitchen Sink".
Robbie Pickering ("Natural Selection") is directing from a script by Oren Uziel, who recently wrote "Men in Black 4" and a rewrite of "22 Jump Street" for Sony. The film is said to embrace a similar tone as"Zombieland", the hilarious Ruben Fleischer-comedy that starred Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone.
If signing the deal, Hudgens would star as a popular teen who finds out that her town is being invaded by aliens and therefore must team up with vampires and zombies in an effort to take them down. Leary is starring as the wealthiest and most cunning resident, who by the sounds of it isn't much of a team player and likes to be alone.
