Will the Dinobots Appear in TRANSFORMERS 4?

By AMC July 31, 2013

Excitement has definitely been kept at Bay (pun intended) for the fourth installment of "Transformers". Mark Wahlberg is taking over as the main protagonist of the film, after Shia LaBouf finished his reign in the third film. A great cast rounds out the ensemble including Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammar, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz. But the real question on everyone's mind is, will the Dinobots make an appearance?

The Dinobots are exactly what they sound like; Transformers that turn into robot dinosaurs. They were first made popular in the 1984 Transformers cartoon "S.O.S. Dinobots". In a recent interview, Wahlberg was asked if the Dinobots would indeed be making an appearance, in which he jokingly responded, "None of your business. You don’t want me to get replaced halfway through production for divulging production secrets".

In the same interview, Wahlberg stated that this felt like a new film altogether and not just a fourth installment of the franchise. Bay is shooting on a new IMAX camera in native 3D and describes the film as a "chase from hell".

"Transformers 4" will hit AMC Theatres on June 27th, 2014.
