We heard a couple of months ago that Aaron Taylor-Johnson was being eyed to play Quicksilver in Joss Whedon's "The Avengers: Age of Ultron". You know, the character that both Whedon and Bryan Singer are utilizing, yet they are not supposed to disclose that they exist in the same universe.
In a recent interview, Taylor-Johnson discussed how he would definitely be interested in playing Quicksilver. He said he was, "really flattered and honored that they came to me for that role. I think he's an interesting character and we're just gonna keep going into that."
It's clear that why he's playing coy, he certainly did some research and dove into the character. When discussing to MTV, he described Quicksilver as, "an abandoned child. Him and his sister [Wanda Maximoff] are abandoned; they live in Eastern Europe. And if that's something that you can make work, then there's always... you gotta have something that you can relate to."
Rumor has it that Saoirse Ronan is being eyed to play Quicksilver's twin sister The Scarlet Witch, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
