Chadwick Boseman first emerged on the Hollywood scene to portray Baseball legend Jackie Robinson in "42", opposite screen legend Harrison Ford. Not a bad gig for a newcomer. His next project is going to be a bit more high-octane, as he is set to portray musical icon James Brown in an upcoming biopic.

An aptly named title "Get On Up", was just assigned to the picture. A release date has also been assigned and it will hit AMC Theatres on October 17, 2014.

Tate Taylor is at the helm, who last earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for "The Help". The film was very powerful and well-done, and starred Emma Stone, Octavio Spencer and Jessica Chastain. Tate seems like a very interesting and solid choice to bring this film to fruition.

Rocker Mick Jagger is on as a producer, along with Victoria Pearman under their Jagged Films company. Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins are also producing with their Imagine Entertainment. Grazer has been working on this project since 2006, and was coordinating directly with Brown before he died, so hopefully the film feels as authentic and real as we'd like it to be.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
