Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson Cast as Leads in 50 SHADES OF GREY

Unfortunately it doesn't appear this nightmare is over and a "50 Shades of Grey" movie is indeed going to happen. In addition to director Sam Taylor-Johnson (Aaron Taylor-Johnson's wife) being locked in to helm, now the two main leads have also been chosen.

Charlie Hunnam from Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" and "Son of Anarchy" fame, will play billionaire playboy with some serious mommy issues, Christian Grey. Dakota Johnson from "The Social Network" and "21 Jump Street", will play the naive and beautiful Anastasia Steele, who is lured into a dominant/submissive relationship with Grey.

Based on the hit book series from E.L. James, the books have been coined "mommy porn" and are loosely based on the characters of "Twilight". The plot and characters are definitely thin and there are some very graphic and sexual scenes, so it will be interesting to see how Universal and Focus Features handle it. The big-screen adaptation should be NC-17 but at the very least, they better make it R, otherwise their desire to tone it down and dilute it to expand the reach, would outrage a lot of the fans.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
