By AMC September 26, 2013

The always incredible Geoffrey Rush is joining Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau ("Game of Thrones") in Alex Proyas' "Gods of Egypt".

The fantasy script is being written by Proyas as well as Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazamat. The epic story tells the tale of a ruling god named Set, who kills another God named Osiris. Horus, the son of Osiris, then seeks revenge but fails and gets his eyes cut out in result. It is then up to a young human thief to try and kill the cruel God.

Coster-Waldau will play Horus and Butler will be playing Set, the god of the desert. Rush will play the sun God Ra, the father of Set and Osiris.
