Fanboys and fangirls were filled with horror when teen pop legend Justin Bieber pulled a brilliant prank on all of us around the upcoming Zack Snyder "Man of Steel" sequel. He posted a picture on Instagram of what appeared to be the "Batman VS. Superman" script with the hashtag Robin underneath it, eluding to the fact that he was reading for the role.
That would mean Bieber would appear alongside Ben Affleck as the new "tired, weary and seasoned" Batman, as well as Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. It's hard to imagine how ugly and intense the backlash of this decision would be had it been true, but luckily we don't have to entertain that fact any longer. The whole prank turned out to be in contingency with a "Funny or Die" skit Bieber was a part of.
While Bieber did tweet out "Off to do something funny or…die :)", prior to his Instagram photo, the potential thought was just too painful to bear for the internet, as it still exploded with speculation. It's doubtful that we'll even see a non-Bieber Robin make an appearance in the upcoming film.
