Kelsey Grammer is an action star. We apparently just didn't know it yet. Swapping his perfectly fitted suits and intellectual snobbery from his years portraying Frasier Crane, Grammer is now going to be part of explosions and chases. First we reported a few months ago that he joined Michael Bay's "Transformers: Age of Extinction". Now word has just hit that he has also joined the cast of Sylvester Stallone's "Expendables 3".
Grammer will be on the big-screen with the likes of Stallone, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li as Bonaparte, a former mercenary who helps out the crew. This was the same role that Nicolas Cage was up for, so the confirmation means the picture will go on without Cage unfortunately.
In addition to the franchise regulars, Grammer is joining a cast of newbies that include Mel Gibson, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, Antonio Banderas and Wesley Snipes.
Do you think Grammer is a good addition or will he stick out like a sore thumb? Let us know in the comments section below!
Patrick Hughes' "Expendables 3" will hit AMC Theatres on August 15, 2014.
