Tyler Perry Joins David Fincher's GONE GIRL

Tyler Perry is the latest edition to David Fincher's adaptation of the best-selling novel "Gone Girl". The cast already stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris. Perry is set to play Nick Dunne's (Affleck) wise-cracking, sleazy attorney Tanner Bolt. Sure, maybe I was hoping for Bob Odinkirk, who masterfully portrays Saul Goodman on "Breaking Bad", but perhaps Tyler will do the part justice.

Kim Dickens ("Deadwood") and Patrick Fugit ("Almost Famous") also joined the cast as the two main detectives on the case, and Carrie Coon ("Ironside") has joined to play Dunne's twin sister.

Tyler was definitely a strategic choice, having a huge following and larger-than-life supporters like Oprah in his corner. His writing, directing and acting credits include such films as "Temptation", and his very successful "Madea" franchise.

Based on Gillian Flynn's novel, the story follows Nick Dunne (Affleck), who is the prime suspect in his wife's (Pike) disappearance case. Under the intense scrutiny of the whole town, nation and the police department, with the help of his lawyer Bolt, Dunne hopes to prove that he's innocent and that the truth may be more complicated than it seems.

"Gone Girl" is aiming to start production this Fall.

Really like the look of it! The trailer has a menacing and dark tone to it, as LEE pointed out. Hopefully this won't be another Die Hard 5 case, awesome trailer but terrible film. Godzilla looks so much like it's 60 year old predecessor. I did like the 1999 Godzilla, just because the actors were awesome and it was cool to see another take on a legendary creature, but this film looks so much darker, almost forbidden. Can't wait till the middle of May!!
