Joseph Gordon-Levitt Says ANT-MAN Rumors Are Not True

By Amirose Eisenbach October 17, 2013

Yesterday we reported that the two front-runners to play the titular character in Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" included Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd. Today, in an eloquent and respectful statement, JGL put those rumors and hopes to rest, stating that he is not up for the role.

In an interview when asked about the part, Gordon-Levitt stated, "There are always rumors. I talk a lot about my future projects, so if you haven't heard me talk about it, means it's nothing but a rumor. People like to write about [rumors]."

In regards to the alleged audition tests he passed, he stated, "nothing but lies".

Hate to be the bearer of bad news my friends, if you were hoping Gordon-Levitt would take part in another superhero flick. We have not however, heard any denial from Rudd or his camp, so I wonder if that was too a rumor or if there is an validity to that speculation.
