Every Marvel fan wants the rights to all their favorite Marvel characters back in the hands of Marvel/Disney. When news hit that the rights to Daredevil and The Punisher have reverted back to Marvel, fans could not be more thrilled to see what Disney would do with the characters.
But this new acquisition won't be taken lightly, as you might expect. Since Marvel President Kevin Feige and team have carefully mapped out this universe with patience, persistence and love, we wouldn't expect it any other way. They have been perfecting a formula after all, and that takes much time and strategy.
Given the violent nature of both of the characters, which is definitely something Disney overall avoids with these properties, it will be interesting to see just how they choose to utilize or introduce these characters into the MCU.
In a recent interview, Feige stated, "We’re trying to figure out what to do with Daredevil now. Punisher could show up at one point. You know, once we get characters back into the Marvel fold we don’t want to do something right away, we want to do the smart thing at the smart time."
We definitely trust Feige and the Marvel/Disney team as their track record is pretty stellar as of late. Their next picture "Thor: The Dark World" will hit AMC Theatres in November and we've been hearing great things, so they may just have yet another slam-dunk under their belt.
