Films based on popular video games is a fad that has been happening for years. Why wouldn't two of the largest entertainment markets merge? We reported last year that actor Michael Fassbender was set to star in and produce the long-awaited "Assassin's Creed" film.
Fassbender has proven he is a multi-talented actor who can bring any subject matter to life. Givne his efforts on getting this project off the ground, enthusiasts of the game were hopeful that a man like him might actually do the adaptation justice. That assurance may have just dimmed however, as Fassbender has revealed that he has never played the game in his life, nor does he own any gaming device.
Fassbender stated, "Assassin's Creed' is] definitely happening. We're just developing the script at the moment. I'd heard of it but had never played the game. I don't have a video game player... that's not what they're called [Laughs]. I met up with the guys from Ubisoft and they told me the story behind it, and I thought it was very interesting - the idea of reliving memories."
