James Cameron intends on keeping us involved with his rich world of "Avatar" for many years to come. While the plot details have been thin for the next installment, which is certainly not why his first film captivated audiences anyway, we did learn that his intended trilogy was adding another film. Now we have confirmation from Cameron about a key character that is returning.
Stephen Lang, who portrayed the tough-as-nails Colonel Miles Quaritch in the first film, will be seen not only in the sequel, but the next three films.
On Lang reprising his role, Cameron stated, "Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back. I’m not going to say exactly how we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend."
