After the slew of new details and photos that were revealed for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", news appeared to slow down for a minute there. Now the highly anticipated sequel from director Marc Webb is in the news again and it looks like it pertains to a slight title change.
In Brazil, the sequel was revealed to now be titled "The Amazing Spider-Man: Rise of Electro". It's not uncommon for films to alter a title slightly in other markets, but this potential new title definitely gives us a bit more insight into the focus and direction of the movie. Jamie Foxx's electro is implied to be the main villain while perhaps Paul Giamatti's Rhino is a more supporting role.
While this change only appears to have been put in effect in that market for the time being, it will be interesting to see if it spreads to other markets and becomes the official new title worldwide.
