Simon Pegg Accepts Fifth MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE

By Amirose Eisenbach November 20, 2013

The wonderful Simon Pegg has wrapped "The Cornetto Trilogy" with director Edgar Wright and is now back to accepting dangerous missions. After seeing him star as comedic tech expert Benji Dunn in the third "Mission: Impossible" film and most recently "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol", the actor confirmed he will indeed be returning for the fifth mission.

Star Tom Cruise is also back reprising his role as Ethan Hunt and this time he is re-teaming with "Jack Reacher" director Christopher McQuarrie, who is directing from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. There is no official word yet if Paula Patton or Jeremy Renner, who were in the last film, will also be returning.

"Mission: Impossible 5" just set its official release date for December 25, 2015, which means it's going against the second week of "Star Wars: Episode VII". Perhaps a ballsy move and a disservice to what are always fun and profitable films?

Are you glad Pegg is returning? Let us know in the comments section below!
