Films based on video-games has quickly becoming a popular fad and now we have a long gestating adaptation back in the works. The Kane and Lynch video game follows Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with a schizophrenic killer named James Lynch. The duo is forced on a mission to retrieve a stolen microchip. Gerard Butler is being eyed to play Kane and it's being reported but not confirmed that Vin Diesel is being courted to play Lynch.

The film was in development a few years ago with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx lined up to play the duo, with Simon Crane directing. That project failed to launch however and now we have our two new potential leads as well as our director. If locked, Butler would be reuniting with "Law Abiding Citizen" helmer G. Gary Gray.

The script was penned by Skip woods and Kyle Ward. We'll keep you posted as this story develops.

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
