Michael Pena in Talks to Join Edgar Wright's ANT-MAN

Following the huge news of Michael Douglas being cast as Hank Pym in Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man", it appears that the character of rather small proportions is continuing to have a very big news week. Actor Michael Pena is said to be in talks to join the cast as well, which already includes Paul Rudd and Douglas.

It's not being reported at this time what actual character Pena would be playing but it's very typical of Marvel to not reveal anything until it's locked. According to The Hollywood Reporter however, "Marvel had been on the lookout for what insiders describe as a 'tough Latino' who has to be ready for a lot of physical play. The studio looked at actors ranging from Javier Bardem to Clifton Collins Jr."

Pena has shown he truly is a diverse actor and can do anything from comedy, to action, to drama, so he seems like a great fit to join almost any ensemble. He shined in his small but great role in "American Hustle" and it could be argued that his real breakout performance was in the cop-drama "End of Watch", opposite Jake Gyllenhaal.

Would you be happy if Pena joined the production? Let us know in the comments section below!

I've got a Baby Ruth in my coat pocket somewhere... just waiting to eat it. Maybe I'll put in a blender on puree.

Admire bryan singer story telling, not easy if you introducing a large cast.. As someone who do not know anything about x-men lore or identify himself as superhero geek.. His x-men 2000 film grab my interest on the series.. Still remember that powerful opening scene, the nazi concentration camp.. really set the theme of the series.. Found some of the other superhero movies.. Too comical for my taste still,.. Will see this movie on the first day of opening..

    1) Daredevil was ten years ago, and its problems were the director and script writers' fault. 2) Maybe but look at James Bond and hell even Batman throughout the years, people will get over it. 3) I want to tell you to check out the Town and Hollywoodland to see him act well, but you'd seem too hell bent to ever change your mind.
