Rosario Dawson Confirms She's Returning For CLERKS III

By Amirose Eisenbach January 24, 2014

Without a doubt, one of Kevin's Smith's best contributions to the world of entertainment are his "Clerks" films. Ridiculous and colorful characters illuminated by an average situation, that is hilarious and oddly relatable. We heard many moons ago that he was indeed planning a "Clerks III" and Smith confirmed that the script was in fact done. Now miss Rosario Dawson herself, has confirmed that she will indeed be returning for the second sequel.

While promoting "Gimme Shelter", Dawson was asked if Smith still plans to release the film this November, which marks the 20th Anniversary of the first film. Dawson stated, "Well, we haven't shot it, so I don't know if that's possible. He just confirmed that I'm in it!"

Smith revealed on his Facebook page last month his intention to start production in May. While a six-month turnaround seems a bit ambitious if they are still aiming for that goal, Smith did work within those confines for his most recent spoof horror film "Tusk, so it certainly is possible.

No other official casting news has been released but it wouldn't be a true "Clerks" roster if it didn't also include Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Jason Mewes and of course Smith himself as Silent Bob.
