Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are officially signed on to reprise their roles in the next three of James Cameron's "Avatar" films. Cameron and Fox of course disclosed several months ago that his "Avatar" films would include a fourth installment instead of the typical trilogy format. While we're not exactly surprised at the news of them returning, since both actors have spoken out about it, this does diminish the mystery and drama a bit in regards to the fate of their characters.
Worthington and Saldana are not the only actors officially locked in to return. It's also being reported that Stephen Lang has been contracted to return to the franchise.
The first film was more known for its stunning visuals and incredible technological advancement than its story. Cameron is getting some new players to help him enrich the plot and they include Josh Friedman ("War of the Worlds"), Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver ("Rise of the Planet of the Apes") and Shane Salerno ("Savages").
