Everything we've seen thus far for Joe and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: The Winter Solider", promises to be bigger and better than the first film. The film reunites us with the Cap, played by Chris Evans, Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), and introduces us to a whole slew of new heroes and villains including the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), the Winter Solider (Sebastian Stan) and Crossbones (Frank Grillo).

According to Walt Disney Company CEO and Chairman Robert Iger, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier takes the Captain America story to incredible new levels."

But how will the sequel fit into the larger scheme of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Iger elaborated, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier will set critical events in motion that lead into The Age Of Ultron and possibly Agents Of SHIELD, too."

Curious fans definitely asked a couple of months ago if there would be a crossover between the films and the television show. The answer at the time appeared to be no but apparently that has changed. Could it be to help boost the less-than-spectacular reviews of the TV series? Who knows but I have great faith in what's in store from the Marvel team. They certainly haven't let us down so far.

What do you make of Iger's comments? Let us know in the comments section below!
