There have been very few details on the "Masters of the Universe" reboot since director Jon M. Chu left the production to continue with the "G.I. Joe" franchise. Now a short list of other potential directors has emerged, that Universe Pictures is reportedly looking at.
The names include Mike Cahill ("Another Earth"), Chris McKay "The Lego Movie" editor), Jeff Wadlow ("Kick-Ass 2") and Harald Zwart ("The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones"). This is very different from the last list of potentials which included Rian Johnson ("Looper"), Joe Cornish ("Attack the Block"), Phil Lord and Chris Miller ("The Lego Movie"), Andres Muschietti ("Mama") and Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders ("The Croods").
The final decision is expected to be made next week. This content is very sacred to a lot of fanboys around the globe, so whoever they pick, I hope they are up for the challenge.
